These harlequin earrings feature sublime quality gems with extraordinary depth of colour and precision cut. Luscious lagoon tourmaline from Namibia paired with fiery mandarin garnet make a striking combination. The lagoon tourmaline, which was easily available about ten years ago is now extremely difficult to source. The strength of design of these earrings relies on two simple criteria: colour and shape.
Each earring features a cushion cut stone at the top and a trilliant cut dangling below, but reversed in the opposing earring. The joint is articulated, so the suspended stone moves freely. Crafted entirely by hand.
Mis-matched earrings are extremely popular. They disarm the viewer- our eyes are trained to see symmetry, so anything which challenges this instantly draws attention.
This is an exclusive pair. There are similar loose stones in pink tourmaline and lagoon tourmaline. Please enquire for more information.
